The mission of Ardagh for Education is to give back to the communities we operate in through high-quality Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education.

We make an impact by upskilling teachers through high-quality training and providing students with hands-on, engaging, STEM learning experiences to enhance their technical abilities and equip them with in-demand, 21st-century skills.

By investing broadly across our communities, we are reaching the most underserved students at all age levels, creating opportunities for employee engagement, attracting young and diverse talent into STEM pathways, and, most importantly, having a strong, positive impact on our people and our communities.

Our impact

Ardagh for Education is on track to bring hands-on, engaging, STEM learning experiences to more than 1.2 million students and upskill 10,000 teachers in over 2,500 by 2035.

Our communities

Our investment in our local schools allows Ardagh to positively impact the teachers and students participating in the programme, while also supporting the growth of the local economy and community over the long term, benefitting both our current and future workforce.

  • To date, we have made investments in 300 schools across 20 AMP communities.
  • To date, more than 350 AMP colleagues have volunteered with local schools.

Our educators

Our programme is only possible with great educators. That is why we provide our teachers with high-quality, in-depth training and resources, with access to continuous support and professional development. These teachers will reach millions of students for years to come.

  • To date, we have upskilled 900 teachers across our AMP communities.

Our students

We provide our students with hands-on, engaging, STEM learning experiences that enhance their technical abilities and equip them with in-demand, 21st century skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.

Our programme is introduced to students in early childhood education through secondary school and beyond, preparing our learners for the “real world”.

  • To date, we have reached 100,000 students across our AMP communities.
  • 92% of participating students are more aware of STEM career paths.
  • 95% of participating students indicate improvements in problem-solving and critical thinking.

Our future

Our programme aims to instill a passion for STEM from an early age, which will bring a new generation of creative problem solvers into the STEM space. We are nurturing future scientists, engineers, and innovators through world-class STEM learning experiences and empowering young people to succeed in a complex, global society.

North America
Partnering with PLTW, we are committing $50 million over 10 years to impact an estimated 2,000 schools, 5,000 teachers, and 500,000 students in AMP's North American communities.
South America
Partnering with SESI, over 10 years, we will reach an estimated 200 schools, 2,500 teachers and 200,000 students in AMP's South American communities.
Europe
Partnering with Wissensfabrik, over 10 years, we will reach an estimated 300 schools, 1,000 teachers, and 200,000 students in AMP's European communities.
