AMP hosts Can School in Poland
In early October, approximately fifty AMP customers joined our team in Poland for Can School in Łódź, an event combining technical insights, knowledge sharing and direct engagement with our experts. A long-standing AMP-Europe initiative, Can School helps customers deepen their understanding of the beverage can industry and the expertise behind AMP’s products. Over two days, the programme explored market developments, product innovations and the processes involved in manufacturing metal beverage cans and ends. Presentations and discussions also gave participants the opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore key topics in greater depth.
A highlight of the event was a visit to our production facility in Radomsko, where attendees experienced metal beverage can manufacturing first-hand. Seeing the production process in action brought many of the topics covered during the programme to life, connecting technical knowledge with the realities of can making. The visit also provided valuable insight into the expertise, technology and teamwork involved at every stage of production.
While Can School is designed to share our knowledge and experience, it is equally an opportunity for AMP to learn from customers. Through open discussions and direct feedback, our teams gained valuable insights into customer needs and challenges, helping to strengthen relationships and support future collaboration.
Tomasz Janowski, General Manager for North-East Europe at AMP-Europe said: “Can School is a two-way learning experience. Our customers get to know more about the can, the process and the people behind it, while we get to better understand their needs and challenges. This is what ‘Always with our customers in mind’ means to us in practice. We hope that, after Can School, customers see our cans a little differently – not just as packaging, but as the result of a process, people’s expertise and a close working relationship. And that relationship is what matters most.”
Feedback from participants highlighted the professionalism and expertise of AMP teams, the quality of the presentations and the opportunity to meet in person the people they work with regularly. The visit to the production facility visit was particularly well received, providing fresh insights into can manufacturing and a new perspective on processes relevant to their own businesses.
Can School once again demonstrated the value of bringing people together to learn, exchange ideas and build connections beyond day-to-day business interactions. By sharing knowledge and learning from our customers in return, we continue to strengthen the relationships that matter and put our commitment to Always with our customers in mind into practice.
